Nikolas Leontopoulos is an Athens-based freelance journalist. Since 2009 he has been covering the Greek crisis for outlets such as the New York Times (as contributing reporter) and Reuters (as a member of the investigative team that published a series of special reports on Greece’s banks and the political system). He is the co-founder of ThePressProject International, an English-speaking website about Greece and of Reporters United, a news start-up producing content by Greek journalists, photographers and videographers for the international media. Recent contributions: 'Troika: Power without Control’, documentary produced by Arte and ARD, and the Greek part of the NYT's investigation 'Outlaw Ocean'.
