Natalia Viana is co-director of Agencia Publica. She was a partner of WikiLeaks in Brazil, coordinating the release of the US embassy cables. She has collaborated with various domestic and international media outlets including: Pacifica Network, PBS (US), the BBC, the Guardian, the Independent (UK), Folha de São Paulo, O Globo, and Carta Capital(Brazil). She was an assistant producer for investigative documentaries and is the author of three books about current-day political assassinations and old-time censorship and repression during the military regime. In 2005, she won the Vladimir Herzog Award for Human Rights Reporting and in 2011 and 2013 the Woman Press Award for online reporting and the Allianz Award for Reporting on Environmental issues, coordinating a team of Publica reporters. Her investigation about the impeachment of president Fernando Lugo in Paraguay was shortlisted to the 1st Gabriel Garcia Marques Journalism Award in 2013. Also in 2013, Natalia was elected one of the 10 most influential personalities on Brazilian internet by magazine Galileu.
